This bear is carved from spotted serpentine by Eldred Quam of Zuni, NM.
Eldred Quam passed away from complications due to Covid-19. This news is heartbreaking. I have carried Eldred’s fetishes in the store for several years. This bear fetish is one of the last ones I will have access to. When an artist is lost to us, it gives more value to the pieces they created when they were alive. There will never be anymore made from this master.
