Description
Ten glorious strands of strawberry shell, volute heishi, malachite and agate chips, silver plate and sterling beads. I think it is made anywhere from the 1970’s or 1980’s. It has the traditional ‘squaw wrap’ at the back of the neck. This is a true collector’s piece that will appeal to anyone who loves the Santo Domingo Pueblo style of jewelry. The literal meaning of Heishi is ‘shell’.
Measures a little over 31″ in length.
